📢Welcome to IndieGames101.com

Greetings, dear readers! Today, I would like to share some exciting updates regarding the future of this website. This will not be your typical post filled with indie game dev insights; instead, I am thrilled to discuss recent changes and upcoming plans.

New URL, New Beginnings

Firstly, as you may have noticed, this website has relocated to a new home: indiegames101.com. With this move, what used to be my blog is set to transform into more than just a personal space.

Recent feedback has inspired me to accelerate the evolution of this site, resulting in me investing more time and effort to deliver better content. Many of you have expressed appreciation for the content, and you deserve more than occasional blog posts. Therefore, the personal blog will evolve into a platform dedicated to regularly sharing insights and advice for indie game developers. The focus will be on content that matters to you. To achieve this, the blog will shift from being primarily “Laurent Victorino shares stuff about game development” content to embodying a recognizable brand that you can identify and follow.

Speaking of brand, you can’t miss the awesome new logo on the front page and the color scheme update. All credit goes to the very talented Joffrey Escudier. A heartfelt thank you to him for his help and stunning work.

So, welcome to indiegames101.com! (Don’t forget to update your RSS client to stay in the loop.)

Emoji Clues

In the coming days, you’ll notice emojis in the titles of some blog posts. These emojis serve as a quick guide to the content within.

🔄 The recycle emoji indicates that the post is old and deserves an update or rework. The content may still be relevant, but I aim to enhance it soon.

🧑‍💼 The patron emoji signifies that the post is exclusive to my patrons. That’s right — big news! We’ll delve into the details shortly, but for now, just know these posts are exclusively reserved for those supporting the content creation.

📢 The loudspeaker emoji signifies an announcement post related to this space. Like the post you are reading.

Patreon Unveiling

Now, let’s dive into something truly special. I have great plans in store for this new platform, and the truth is none can come to life without your support. This is why, with this post, I am unveiling a Patreon page, and I could not be more thrilled to share this with you.

Your contribution will be the driving force behind the evolution and enhancement of this space, making my plans for indiegames101.com a reality. Having patrons will allow me to focus on delivering quality content and services tailored to your needs. I am excited to announce that patrons will be offered early access to the posts, exclusive contents and even monthly mentoring and consulting sessions for patrons in the higher tiers, catering to both small and large game development teams.

Expect to see this kind of button from time to time now.
